Black Genes Matter™ is a community engagement campaign focused on Black genomic and genetic testing to drive biomarker research, detection, clinical trials, and therapies. This powerful brand awareness campaign was designed to celebrate the importance of Black genetic and genomic research and representation in health sciences. This initiative aimed to foster community engagement, drive conversations, and position the brand as a leader in health equity. The launch commenced with a website and social media campaign for a “party with a purpose,” a fun way to engage the Black community featuring a fireside chat and panel of community members with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and clinical champions. The campaign received over a million media impressions with story placements in local TV, radio, and print outlets. It culminated in a #BlackGenesMatter multi-market tour in an effort to expand the reach of this important message to Black communities through a network of community partners.
